Planning: Audience Feedback

After creating the storyboard we would survey 3 people and verbally explained the idea of what we were going for asking the following questions.
  • Do you like the idea of the music video?
  • Do you think it is original?
  • Any tips or changes to improve our idea?
The feedback received is in the form of the table below.

Do you like the idea of the music video
“In my opinion I like the idea of the lively, up beat and energetic music video featuring several dancers. Reminds me of Happy by Pharrell by the sounds of it and looking forward to it”
“I love the idea of there being a music video that’s all focussed on the actual dancing aspect, seems really fun and I might join in myself, the fact you are aiming to include several shots of different performers having fun is a wonderful idea though”
“Your idea of this playful dance video is a nice change and sounds like a great idea that I can’t wait to watch”
Do you think it is original?
“I wouldn’t particularly say it is original but it is definitely uncommon and a change from the music videos I always see, just a guy singing with girls dancing around, so I do like the fact  everyone is included and is very well rounded”
“in most cases this idea is original but I’ve seen this idea for a music video in adverts and other songs, it is a change in the conventional emotional or objectifying women music video so overall I would say it is pretty original”
“I think its quite original although I have seen this idea on some videos and a boots ad before, doesn’t really change my opinion on it as I still think it’s a good plan”
Any tips or changes to improve our idea?
“If I had to think of one thing to improve on your idea now is to get as many performers as possible, that would make it look a lot better”
“try to balance the male and females, have a set of dance moves to make it look somewhat coordinated and ensure you have plenty people who are comfortable in front of the camera”
“No not really, just make sure you have enough people who aren’t camera shy so it doesn’t look awkward”
